Privacy Policy

Overview

Clerky is designed to work privately and does not require a Clerky account. By default, its data stays on your device. If you choose to turn on iCloud Sync, supported Clerky data is also stored in your private iCloud account so it can stay current across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. The developer cannot access this data.

Information stored on your device

Attendance counts, meeting dates, your selected chapel layout, onboarding state, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple system storage. Removing Clerky or using its Factory Reset option removes the app's locally stored information.

Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync in App Settings, Clerky uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage to sync attendance entries and your selected chapel layout. This information is associated with your Apple Account and handled by Apple under its iCloud terms and privacy policy. Clerky’s developer does not receive or have access to it.

Onboarding progress, counting-tip status, and other device-only preferences are not synced. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time; doing so stops future syncing but keeps the existing data on your device and in iCloud. Factory Reset removes Clerky’s local data and requests removal of its synced iCloud data, immediately when iCloud is available or the next time it becomes available.

Sharing

If you choose Clerky's Share feature, Apple’s system share sheet lets you decide which app or person receives the attendance summary. Clerky does not receive or retain information about what you share or who receives it.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Clerky does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Optional iCloud Sync is provided by Apple and is used only for the sync function described above.

Children’s privacy

Clerky does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Clerky changes. The current version will always be available at this URL.
